I am Mitch Peterson, a consultant, trainer, coach, and public speaker in the areas of Leadership, Culture, and Organizational Development. My focus is on enriching and emboldening leaders to maximize their potential and to achieve optimum results. My mission is to work with both individuals and organizations to create high performing, self-aware, leaders and organizational cultures that breed success. I am confident in what I know but will readily admit I do not have all the answers. I do however have confidence that we can find them together! I’m obsessed with problem solving!
How many times in your career have you heard (or asked) the questions “why can’t they just do their jobs?” or “why are they so difficult?”. The answers to these questions are simple (yet not easy). Most often, the short answer is “It’s not them, it’s you! If we agree we’re the right fit, we will work together to better understand how your leadership approach impacts overall organizational engagement, culture and ultimately, performance and results. As a first step in our relationship, we will work to uncover “your” ownership in the conditions and challenges you face. If, after that, you still believe it’s all on “them”, I’ll politely let you know I’m not your guy (if you don’t have some ownership, I can’t help you)!
As a former CEO I enjoyed a career spanning nearly four decades. It has been a blessing to experience the many highs and lows that come with leading people and organizations. Over the past several decades I have been privileged to lead teams of 50-2,000 Associates and have developed a sound depth of knowledge, experience, and wisdom as a result. In addition to my Private Sector leadership experience, I have a depth of experience with Non-Profit organizations as well. Leadership and Culture are of equal importance across all sectors (Private, Public or Voluntary)! That, in and of itself, makes me perfectly suited to help you with most any leadership, or cultural, challenge you face (without regard for the type or size of your organization).
